We have released the update for Memory Usage Plus with the added functionality of auto kill. Here is the information from the about page
Android Application Management
First a short primer on Android application management. Android assigns a priority to each running application, 100 being the most important (ie system, currently running app) and 500 being the least important. When an application is not used anymore, the application is still running but Android will assign priority 500 to it to indicate this application can be killed to reclaim memory
Memory Usage Plus
Memory Usage Plus is a cool utility to allow you to see the currently running applications as well as the memory used AND the priority given to it by Android System. In addition, Memory Usage Plus has an optional Auto Kill service that you can take advantage of to keep your phone as fast as possible. Auto kill will monitor the currently running processes and when an application in your auto kill list gets a priority of 400 or 500, Memory Usage Plus will kill the app and allow the phone to reclaim that memory
Sorting
You can sort by any column by clicking on the column header. For example if you want to sort by priority just click on the priority column header and the display will show all the applications sorted by priority high to low. Each of the columns are sortable to allow you to see the data the way that best meets your needs
Killing An Application
You can only kill an application with a priority of 200 or higher, although I would recommend you only kill applications you know exactly what they do and they have a priority of 400 or 500. You can kill an app by clicking on the row from the main screen, a dialog will come up with the option to kill the app. Click kill and the app will be killed and the display refreshed
Auto Kill
When you click a row and the dialog comes up one of the options will be Auto Kill. This will kill the app AND add this program to the auto kill list. You can edit your Auto Kill list at any time by clicking the Auto Kill List menu option from the main screen. This will take you to the Auto Kill List and from here you can remove any application from the list.
Auto Kill Configuration
By default the Auto Kill Service will check the running processes every 15 minutes. You can configure this in the Configure Auto Kill menu option from the main screen. From here you can set how often ( in minutes ) the service should check for programs to kill
